Wait on the Lord

What we are seeing unfold was told us from long ago. The events we see on TV and read about in the internet should not take any of Christ's Flock by surprise. The anger, the hate, the vulgarity and polarity was foretold. Here it is. We are living it, at least the beginning birth pains of the end times.

(Mat 24:10) "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.

(Luk 12:53) "They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

Our Lord was forced to rebuke Peter, getting his attention when Peter began to rely on the carnal and not the ordained;

(Mat 16:23) But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."

Today, more than at any other time in our memories, Satan is pulling out all the stops to upset, delay, degrade and scuttle that which our Lord has set into motion. It is absolutely vital that we pay attention, stay in the Word, and pray with and for our brothers and sisters. Pray for ourselves that we not fall into the deception of the Master of Lies. “No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” (2Co 11:14)

(Rev 3:9) 'Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you.

How can you tell if Satan is fooling you?
Satan has no patience. The CURE = Wait on the Lord.
Satan causes you to make quick decisions. The CURE = Wait on the Lord.
Satan creates divisions. The CURE = Wait on the Lord.
Satan creates turmoil. The CURE = Wait on the Lord.

To overcome the temptation of Satan, you must be patient. You MUST wait and test each life decision through the Word, through the Living Water, through prayer.

You are a child of God, a precious member of the Royal Family. Use the power that God gave you. Prayer, Faith, Grace, the Word. Make no important life decisions quickly. Pray, and then.......WAIT ON THE LORD!

(Rom 16:20) The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

It is not by chance that you are tested

(Rom 8:28) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

I find it fascinating that Romans popped up in my morning devotions this day. In fact, Romans is making an appearance most everywhere I look and where I study. Dr. Petersen and the whole church is deep in this book, unraveling Paul's letter and the beauty of his teaching.

I have been trying to control my spiritual destiny. You know, pick and choose where I think the Lord is leading. You ask, “How did that work out for you?” With a sigh I respond, “Not well......not well at all”.

I constantly counsel others to let Jesus drive! Keep your hands off of the steering wheel, I quip. As the words leave my mouth, I see my hand reaching across to the wheel adjusting the direction. What a hypocrite. Its Time to repent.

Oswald Chambers:
The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance. God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you cannot understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God is bringing you into places and among people and into conditions in order that the intercession of the Spirit in you may take a particular line. Never put your hand in front of the circumstances and say – I am going to be my own providence here, I must watch this, and guard that. All your circumstances are in the hand of God, therefore never think it strange concerning the circumstances you are in. Your part in intercessory prayer is not to enter into the agony of intercession, but to utilize the common-sense circumstances God puts you in, and the common-sense people He puts you amongst by His providence, to bring them before God’s throne and give the Spirit in you a chance to intercede for them. In this way God is going to sweep the whole world with His saints.
Am I making the Holy Spirit’s work difficult by being indefinite, or by trying to do His work for Him? I must do the human side of intercession, and the human side is the circumstances I am in and the people I am in contact with. I have to keep my conscious life as a shrine of the Holy Ghost, then as I bring the different ones before God, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for them.
Your intercessions can never be mine, and my intercessions can never be yours, but the Holy Ghost makes intercession in our particular lives, without which intercession someone will be impoverished

HE IS ONE

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! "I and the Father are one." Though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."

So they were saying to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also." Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.

(Isa 9:6) (Deu 6:4) (Joh 10:30) (Joh 10:38) (Joh 8:19) (Joh 14:8) (Joh 14:9) (Heb 1:8) (Col 1:17) (Col 2:9)

Behind the Wall

(Jdg 16:21) Then the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza and bound him with bronze chains, and he was a grinder in the prison.

Tomorrow Jon, Wayne, Sandy and I will join others behind the wall. Inside the razor wire and electric fences, along paths marked with a yellow line. It will be no coincidence that a meeting has been arranged between this team and forty-two inmates of a fortified prison.

Over the next four days, we will meet, never having seen each other before. Never once having imagined that such a meeting would or could take place. For some, this will be their first-ever introduction to the TRUTH, and to the LOVE, and to the HOPE that is in Jesus Christ.

Some inmates will return to the yard as they came to us. Others will carry the shekinah glow about their face and the wondrous peace of Christ will flow from their whole bodies as a testament of their salvation; a light unto others.

All of our team will come away deeply humbled, wasted, spent, exhausted and in absolute awe and wonder of having been witness to the very hand of God converting the hearts of those whom Satan was so proud, no longer possessions of darkness. These days we shall never forget. Praise God!

When you pray, pray that the harvest for the Lord will be great. Pray that the stone hard hearts of those inside the wire will suffer a change. Pray that a small hole will be carved in these hardened hearts, just big enough to allow His brilliant light to chase the darkness from inside. And as the light replaces the veil of darkness, let it be so that the organ will be softened from the inside-out!

Pray that when we come out Sunday evening, that we will be celebrating with the Heavenly Host, new additions to the family of our Lord, co-heirs to the Kingdom through Jesus Christ, Amen. Pray also that the seeds we leave behind will eventually find fertile soil and sprout, Amen and Amen.
