OPENING PRAYER

Eternal Father of all creation, we humbly thank You for gathering us to congregation this Holy day with open hearts, ears and souls to receive Your message, Your Love. May we all be assured of the endless depth of affection that Jesus has for His sheep, His children, His Bride-to-Be, AMEN.

MESSAGE

How many of you are real good at remembering people's names? I am really bad about this and it has caused me great embarrassment over the years. My Linda has bailed me out so many times. When we gather among a lot of people, and someone I can't remember who they are, Linda will jump right in saying HI I'M LINDA, YOU ARE? Suddenly I have a GET Out of JAIL Card. Bless you my bride!

In times past, the size of families were, by necessity, quite large. Farmers, ranchers, and all manner of people who had a close relationship with the soil. One family I knew in my youth had 15 kids. All of them were still living at home at the time. It was a zoo! Nine or Ten kids were probably about the STANDARD size of family that I was familiar with while growing up. My parents were the exception in that my sister and I were the only kids born, but between she and I, we generated at least nine-kids worth of issues for mom and dad to contend with!

A joy that I never tire of is listening to folks of our seasoning attempt to recall from memory the names of their WHOLE TEAM. Most do very well with the kids, struggle a bit with naming the grand kids, and rarely can they round out the list recalling all of the GRAND or GREAT GRAND FLOCK. One thing has not changed much, folks are still cranking out loads of kids.

I personally know of someone who knows, by memory, the names of millions of HIS children. He never forgets a single one! "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out." (Joh 10:3 NAS95) This man is our Lord and Savior, JESUS.

Join me now and let's allow the little kid in you and I to come out for a while. Doing this helps greatly in improving your understanding of Holy Scripture! It really does! Believing as a child opens your mind and soul to that which most adults have long put away. That is a shame.

Lets imagine for a moment that we are present at the crucifixion of Jesus up on Golgotha. We are close enough to see clearly Jesus suffering on the cross. We witness Him hanging in agony, His hands, PALMS OUT, nailed to the wood. Suddenly our breath is taken away as we see OUR OWN NAME WRITTEN ON THE PALMS OF JESUS HANDS! How can this be? "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls [of God's Protection] are continually before Me. (Isa 49:16 NAS95) If you believe as a child, and you have given yourself to the Lord, you will have no problem seeing Your name engraved on his palms.

The only ones who are equipped to see their name on His palms are those who have said YES to His call. Who have received Him into your body and soul. You bear on your head His SEAL, the SEAL confirming that You are His! ...the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness." (2Ti 2:19 NAS95)

[JESUS SAYS]; "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' (Mat 7:22-23 NAS95) ==> For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. (Psa 1:6 NAS95)

SUMMARY

"Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as [HELL];===> Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD. "Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it; If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, It would be utterly despised." (Son 8:6-7 NAS95)

The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. (Nah 1:7 NAS95)

"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. "And you know the way where I am going." Thomas *said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (Joh 14:2-6 NAS95)

CLOSING PRAYER

O' Mighty Lord of Creation, what a blessing it is for us to gather in fellowship here on this Holy Day to learn, and to grow and to bask in the light of Your life-giving and ever sustaining Grace and Mercy. Your Word penetrates to the very marrow of our bones, while filling our spirits with Your Holy breath. We exist only by Your loving and tender will. Our hearts are filled with thanksgiving, Lord Jesus, AMEN.

"BLESSED ARE THE FORGIVEN"

Psalm 32:1-11

A Psalm of David: How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! (Psa 32:1-2 NAS95)

OPENING PRAYER

Mighty Creator, Eternal Author of Life, we gather with humility in Your presence on this Holy day; to learn, to grow, and to savor the compelling aroma of being Blessed by answering Your call. The fragrance of being forgiven is very intoxicating, O' Lord. Thank You for this great blessing through Your only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, AMEN

MESSAGE

Do you ever have "one of those days" when a melody gets snagged in your brain and you cannot get rid of it? How about a certain word that is spelled the same in more than one meaning? Well, that was the "burr under my saddle blanket" this past week.

In the case of the word L-E-A-D, it could be lead, or it might be lead, both are spelled the same. "Billy Bob took the LEAD and LEAD the group as he carried the LEAD out of the swamp".

How about the word B-A-S-S? "Oh I love to fish for BASS. The problem comes when someone comes near with a big boom Box and has the BASS turned up shaking the ground ...then I catch NO BASS !!. Our Bible has a few of these same spelled words.

KING David opens Psalm 32 with a verse exclaiming; "How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!"  

QUESTION: That word: B-L-E-S-S-E-D; IS IT BLESSED OR IS IT Blessed?

Lets try this:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

(Mat 5:3 NAS95)

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Rev 1:3 NAS95)

The Greek word for both of these verses is "makar" meaning fortunate, well off, happy, blessed.

Now, in Ephesians we find; BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

(Eph 1:3 NAS95) In Ephesians the Greek word is different; "Eu lo-getos"= Adorable, BLESSED.

Why is all of this important to know? Because only GOD, the TRINITY is BLESSED. It is HE who ordains each of us to be blessed! For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. (Isa 64:6 NAS95)

The Apostle Paul writes: "For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not." (Rom 7:18 NAS95) OH How forgiving our Creator is when we confess our misdeeds, our wrongs, and through repentance, turning away from the bad behavior, HE FORGIVES US! WHY??

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Gal 3:27 NAS95) Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him. (Col 3:9-10 NAS95)

You are HIS children, HE is YOUR Father! A father will chastise, and follow with forgiveness. He will not forsake You!

Do you remember the story of the prodigal son? "But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.' And they began to celebrate. (Luk 15:22-24 NAS95) WHAT A BLESSING THIS WAS!!

More than that, I [PAUL] count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law,... but that which is through faith in Christ,... the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith. (Php 3:8-9 NAS95)

It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he *said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he *said to me, [John], "These are true words of God." (Rev 19:8-9 NAS95)   

Who is the HER in the verse above?  THE CHURCH!  That is US!  

SUMMARY

I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise To spring up before all the nations. (Isa 61:10-11 NAS95)

LASTLY: He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, "Remove the filthy garments from him." Again he said to him, "See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and will clothe you with festal robes." (Zec 3:4 NAS95)

AND THEN, BLESSED JESUS BLESSED US WITH THE GIFT OF "FORGIVENESS"

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, Lord Jesus, our hearts are filled to the brim with thanksgiving that You have literally filled us with Your Holy Spirit. Not only the Spirit, You have and continue to forgive our errors, past and present, and especially show us love as only our Creator can do. Praise You, Praise Your Holy Name in Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

When Balak son of Zippor, realized all that Bnei-Yisrael had done to the Amorites, Moab became terrified because there were so many people. Moab was filled with dread because of Bnei-Yisrael. (Num 22:2-3 TLV)

"OUR SPEECH/ HIS KINDNESS"

Col 4:6 / Psa 26:3

 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Col 4:6 NAS95)

OPENING PRAYER

Mighty and enduring Father and Author of all things, with humble hearts we thank You for gathering us here in congregation and fellowship to worship and grow. Let our souls be seasoned with Your Word. Let us receive wisdom, patience, and discipline of our bodies in Your glory in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN

MESSAGE

Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise reprover [convince] to a listening ear. ; Thy loving kindness is before mine eyes.

(Pro 25:11-12 NAS95; PSA. 26:3 KJV)

This confusing verse from Proverbs 25 carries the Solomon-esk literary design, much like the Song of Solomon, or Ecclesiastes, also penned by the King. Unless you lived in the time of Solomon, it takes some study to connect the visuals with the topic at hand and the meanings behind them. The meanings are connected to the scene, the subject to the situation where the words point, and that is the quality of the speech, and its direct connection to that very moment and circumstances. The gold, silver earrings and ornaments validate that what is being said and represents high TRUTH; not deception. Think of it as a verbal exchange of a Gospel message or lesson. Our Lord God grants us a pretty wide berth on speech like this. His mercy and Grace if shown in the very next Psalm; Thy loving kindness is before mine eyes. (PSA. 26:3 KJV)

As you can tell, we have taken the LONG ROAD for our short journey to the topic of SPEECH and God's KINDNESS as He forgives a lot of the junk that comes out of our mouths, or the pens in our hands!

It is very big deal when you realize that Children of the Almighty, His kids, YOU and ME, need to be ever so watchful what we say and how we say it; Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. (Eph 4:29 NAS95) Sometimes, if you were not physically there, the utterance makes no sense! Inside jokes would be an example.

My mom and Dad learned from their mom and dad the old saying: "If you cannot say something nice about someone else, then say nothing!" Keep your trap shut! Loyd Earl, my dad used to say; "Gary Dean" If you want to be seen then STAND-UP. If you want to be heard then SPEAK-UP. But if you want to be taken seriously and be respected...sit down and SHUT-UP!!

He who speaks truth tells what is right, But a false witness; deceit. There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing. Truthful lips will be established forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment. (Pro 12:17-19 NAS95) The Damage of deceptive speech has been known to kill!

 

Me, my mouth and I have had a very long relationship. We are in our 77th year, those LIPS and me. From as far back as I care to remember, the primary source of any trouble or grief had a connection to my mouth. I'm still a work in progress, thank You Lord for Your patience, and Your Love!

[Jesus says]: "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

(Mat 12:35-37 NAS95) I now live by the personal rule of speech; "When in doubt..REPENT IT OUT!".

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. "They will be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." (Mal 3:16-17 NAS95)

Therefore, thus says the LORD, "If you return,{REPENT}, then I will restore you—Before Me you will stand; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, But as for you, you must not turn to them. (Jer 15:19 NAS95) DON'T BE LIKE THOSE OTHERS WHO DO NOT BELIEVE!

"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Mat 5:44-45 NAS95)

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. (Eph 5:1-2 NAS95)

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.  (Eph 4:30-32 NAS95)

SUMMARY

The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in loving kindness.

(Psa 145:8 NAS95)

"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons [and daughters] of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

(Luk 6:35-36 NAS95)

LASTLY: ...Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Col 4:6 NAS95)

CLOSING PRAYER

Lord, thank You for gathering us in fellowship this Holy day. Our mouth is capable of causing great hurt to others, of stirring up trouble where there should be none. Careless flapping of the lips does not bring glory to Your throne, Father, it should bring shame to the offending speech. We confess of our error and repent in Your presence and receive Your Grace and forgiveness in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
