For [we are not] ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. { Rom 1:16-17 KJV}

SUNDAY MESSAGE

"WHO IS YOUR REDEEMER?"

Psa 103:4

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

On this beautiful and Holy day, we humbly welcome You Lord God and cherish Your presence among us. Shepherd us in this message. May our ears, eyes, and souls be open to receive Your Word, that very same Word that guides us to application in our daily walk before you. Praise You Lord Jesus, Amen.

MESSAGE

Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psa 103:4-5 NKJV)

The WHO is of course, is JESUS, the Messiah, our Savior, the Chief Shepherd, our KING the CHRIST!! The last eight words of the opening Psalm were a little curious for me. You might have noticed that "A Spring Chicken" I am not! So a verse that tells me that my youth is renewed like the eagle's...and I look in the mirror...what I see looking back is a short and chunky Turtle Dove! (with white hair!)

Pastor Franklin Graham asked all of us to Pray with the Nation, this past Wednesday. It would be prudent to PRAY and continue PRAYING until we see results returning. Here is Franklin Graham:

Dear Friend,
As the streets of America boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there anything God’s people can do? You bet there is. PRAYER

As a nation, our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our back on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.

Pray for our leaders, and pray that God would bring calm to our streets.

There are many who would like to stir things up—there are even those who would like to destroy this great country.
Pray that these efforts would be thwarted and their plans would be brought into confusion.

Ask God to use
..{US}...His church to be His instruments of peace in this time of great uncertainty. [PRAYER IS A POWERFUL FORCE]

WE ARE Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference.

With humility, let’s give God the glory for this great nation and thank Him for His hand of blessing, protection, and mercy.

{PASTOR FRANKLIN GRAHAM}

What we need is a HERO. Or, HEROES! Earthly beings that have great strength, courage, stamina, boldness, fearlessness, righteousness, honesty, and GRIT! Folks like those we looked up to when I was a young man. Heroes like JESUS, Moses, David, John Wayne, Marshall Dillon, Lucas Mcain, The Rifleman, Brodrick Crawford and the Highway Patrol, Gene Autry, and others cut from the same cloth. The cloth of their CREATOR, ALMIGHTY GOD! I don't think today's youth has many examples of bravery, honesty, kindness, Godliness. In my mind a picture is forming, but, something seems to be missing!

Many of you with a close bond with your REDEEMER saved your skin more times than can be counted. That Redeemer was strong; The LORD of hosts is His name. He [would] thoroughly plead their case, That He may give rest to the land, And disquiet the inhabitants of {well, lets just call it as we see it} Babylon. (Jer 50:34 NKJV) See how nicely this already fits in Pastor Graham's, PRAYER we just shared? Wouldn't it be grand of we had a REDEEMER like Him today?

[He could] ransom them from the power of the grave; [He] would REDEEM [us] from death. O Death, [HE] will be your plagues! O Grave, [HE] will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from [HIS] eyes." cf: (Hos 13:14 NKJV)

Oh my, if only we had a REDEEMER like this today!

WAIT JUST A MOMENT----We DO have a REDEEMER! The LORD of HOSTS is HIS Name, He was born of a virgin named Mary, and was named JESUS the CHRIST, the MESSIAH!

The Bible says in; (Heb 2:14-16 NKJV); Inasmuch then as [WE] the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself [Jesus] likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham; You and I !

This Messiah, the Christ is the only begotten Son of the living GOD. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (Joh 3:35-36 NKJV)

When His name was called by you, and you asked Him to come in to you, YOU DIED, and your life [became] hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

(Col 3:3-4 NKJV)

SUMMARY

Over the past 50 years, we collectively became horribly distracted away from what is truly righteous, pure, and guided by a set of rules that apply to only ones self; ME, MYSELF and I. Those who have turned away from God shall be punished with everlasting destruction, removed from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power-- when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe and have believed.

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2Th 1:9-12 NKJV)

Tell your family, your relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbors that WE HAVE A REDEEMER. HE LIVES! His name is JESUS, and HE can be counted on as righteous and true. He CREATED YOU! He is our Savior, our God, our KING. He is the REDEEMER who will make the difference between ETERNAL JOY IN LIFE and FOREVER PAIN and SUFFERING IN ETERNAL DEATH. Tell them your story of how and when you were saved! Tell them to BELIEVE AS A CHILD!

CLOSING PRAYER

O' Mighty Father, be with us as we go our way this week. We are so blessed by Your Grace that no matter where we find ourselves, You, our redeemer is with us, guiding us, reminding us that we are the creation of Your Mighty Hands, of that we ar so very grateful in the Name above all names, JESUS the CHRIST, AMEN.

"MIGHTY FINE WINE"

JOHN 2:1-12

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

Awesome Author of the Universe, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, we welcome You into our tiny congregation as we worship and learn from Your Holy Word. We pray for open ears, hearts, and souls as we might apply what we learn to our daily walk before You, in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

MESSAGE

Welcome on this Holy Day. I sure hope you ate your Wheaties this morning because we are about to put some miles on our Gospel tennis shoes. We begin in the neighborhood of our Lord's 30th earthly birthday. At thirty years, His ministry begins. There is a phrase "it takes 30-years to grow a Pastor" that might apply as Jesus Publicly begins HIS Shepherdship. We we begin in The Gospel according to John, chapters 1 & 2; and some of the events occurred over a period of THREE DAYS:

(Joh 1:29-51 NASB) [On day one, John the Baptist] *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! "This is He on behalf of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.' "I did not recognize Him, but so that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water."

(Mat 3:13-17 NKJV) Then Jesus came on day two from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness."

{REF: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Mat 28:19-20 NKJV)}

Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Mat 3:13-17 NKJV)

John testified saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. "I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.' "I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God."

Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as He walked, and *said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. And Jesus turned and saw them following, and *said to them, "What do you seek?" They said to Him, "Rabbi (which translated means Teacher), where are You staying?" He *said to them, "Come, and you will see."

So they came and saw where He was staying; and they stayed with Him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. {This 10th hour was based on Roman Time, not Jewish, this was 10:00 a.m.}

One of the two who heard John speak and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He *found first his own brother Simon and *said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which translated means Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas" (which is translated Peter).

The next day He purposed to go into Galilee, and He *found Philip. And Jesus *said to him, "Follow Me." Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip *found Nathanael and *said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." Nathanael said to him, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Philip *said to him, "Come and see."

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!" Nathanael *said to Him, "How do You know me?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." Nathanael answered Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel." Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these." And He *said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." (Joh 1:29-51 NASB)

(Joh 2:1-12 NKJV) Later On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus [Mary] was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

I would like to pause and make a few observations before continuing; Mary is the BIRTH MOTHER of our Lord Jesus. For THIRTY YEARS Mary has also been known as MOM. There is probably no other person on the earth that knows Jesus like she knows Him. The significance of the wedding as the foundation of His ministry cannot be overstated.

As the Wedding Fest was moving along a situation developed requiring the intervention of A Mom, Mary, who likely was deeply involved in the wedding planning and thus, Mom launched into action:

And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus [HIS Mom] said to Him, "They have no wine." Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." {This--according to John 2:4}

Lets use our imaginations through the art of Synoptic Observation: We all are attending guests of this wedding festivity. The majority of you attendees are Moms; Join me as we look back at that quick conversation;

And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus [HIS Mom] said to Him, "They have no wine." Jesus turns and says to her, "MOM!...Mom!..,what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come."

Mary heard very well what her Son, Jesus had just said. Mom turns to the servants, and says.."Whatever He says to you, do it." Knowing her son, and her Lord, she knew his touch and WILL would save the wedding error.

Now there were set there six water pots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, "Fill the water pots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. {about 180 gallons total} And [Jesus] said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it.

When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"

This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not stay there many days. (Joh 2:1-12 NKJV) Passover was coming!

SUMMARY

MOAB, BALAAM's DONKEY and THE ANGEL OF THE LORD

(Num 22:22-35 NASB) But God was angry because [Balaam] was going, and the angel of the LORD took his stand in the way as an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him. When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand, the donkey turned off from the way and went into the field; but Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back into the way.

Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path of the vineyards, with a wall on this side and a wall on that side. When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she pressed herself to the wall and pressed Balaam's foot against the wall, so he struck her again.

The angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn to the right hand or the left. When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam was angry and struck the donkey with his stick.

And the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" Then Balaam said to the donkey, "Because you have made a mockery of me! If there had been a sword in my hand, I would have killed you by now." The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden all your life to this day? Have I ever been accustomed to do so to you?" And he said, "No."

Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand; and he bowed all the way to the ground.

The angel of the LORD said to him, "Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way was contrary to me. "But the donkey saw me and turned aside from me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, I would surely have killed you just now, and let her live."

Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, "I have sinned, for I did not know that you were standing in the way against me. Now then, if it is displeasing to you, I will turn back." But the angel of the LORD said to Balaam, "Go with the men, but you shall speak only the word which I tell you." So Balaam went along with the leaders of Balak.  (Num 22:22-35 NASB)

(1Sa 5:2-6 NASB) {Meanwhile near Shiloh}  Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it to the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon. When the Ashdodites arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD.

So they took Dagon and set him in his place again. But when they arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. And the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold; only the trunk of Dagon was left to him.

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor all who enter Dagon's house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

Now the hand of the LORD was heavy on the Ashdodites, and He ravaged them and smote them with tumors, both Ashdod and its territories. (1Sa 5:2-6 NASB) But the hand of the LORD was [very] heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof. (1Sa 5:6 KJV)

"RESOLUTIONS AND VOWS"

Haggai Chapters 1 & 2

"Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying: 'This people says, "The time has not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built." ' " Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?" Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways!" (Hag 1:2-5 NKJV)

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father in Heaven, thank You for gathering all of us together as a congregation to fellowship and worship Your Holy Name. Grant us the favor of open ears, hearts and souls as we receive Your Word from on high and apply the teachings to our daily life in this brand new year of 2026, thank You Jesus for our salvation through Your great sacrifice and in Your name we pray, AMEN.

MESSAGE

Happy New Year! Welcome to our first congregational worship in 2026! Just as 2025 wound-up slowly to this very today, we all have been so blessed to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Savior, and King, observing His first introduction to the world through the lowly Shepherd!

We will spend some time in the book of HAGGAI, a preacher and prophet who became the Lord's instrument of accountability and motivation for the Jews who made VOWS and RESOLUTIONS to rebuild the temple at Jerusalem and were released early from captivity. These same folks quickly began dragging their feet on the Temple rebuild after being released. The Lord's house was no longer 1st, but was pushed to 4th position; Right behind ME, MYSELF, AND I.

The time period in this message runs from about 538BC to 520BC. This is a synopsis covering why God is intervening; "Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying: 'This people says, "The time has not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built." ' " Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?" Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways!"

(Hag 1:2-5 NKJV)

When the Lord said "Consider your ways", I remembered the fear that filled JOB when he continued pressing GOD with question after question, being encouraged to do so by his friends; Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: "Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me: (Job 40:6-8 NKJV) Job already had RELIGION, and his faith in the Lord was still strong. The early released Jews who did not include the Temple in their building plans are now cornered, by GOD to CONSIDER THEIR WAYS!

When Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt, for a 40 year journey that should have taken a few months to complete, it was due in part to the stiff-necked stubbornness of this people. Even Moses dealt with a "post captivity" mentality that almost resulted in God destroying them all. Moses pleaded with God for an alternate punishment, and God agreed.

By the Grace of God, Haggai was successful here in Jerusalem, and the Lord spoke again; Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified," says the LORD. "You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. (Hag 1:7-9 NKJV)

Now fearing what manner of punishment might be on the way, the whole attitude and latitude of the people suddenly adjusted to SEE THE LIGHT! Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the LORD.

Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the people, saying, "I am with you, says the LORD." So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God. (Hag 1:12-14 NKJV)

SUMMARY

In 573 BC, King Cyrus, then later followed by King Darius, granted special dispensation and early release from captivity in order that skilled workman and leaders might rebuild the great Temple in Jerusalem. This was God's hand at work. It was expected that those chosen for this important favor would likewise realize the importance of the mission, and commit to a RESOLUTION or a VOW securing the best opportunity for success, especially since this was the will of God to do so.

Vows before God, or in His name are serious undertakings and not to be taken lightly. Personal prayed VOWS just between you and the Creator are the most precious VOWS, and HE takes each one directly to HIS heart with love. The VOWS of the Nazirite are a compelling; read {Num 6:1-27} and you will grasp the Holy nature of committing ones self to Almighty God for specific purposes and expected accomplishments.

Many of those selected and given freedom to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple --- so the glory and spirit of the Lord would return and be among HIS people, -- failed to follow through and committed error by placing their own home interests in higher priority than the Temple. God was watching.

The Lord called upon Haggai, Zerubbabel, and Joshoua, among others and were enlisted to remind God's people of their VOWS, and CONSIDER THEIR WAYS, placing God in first priority, therefore moving their own interests to a lesser position on that schedule. Soon after, the flock responded, got organized, then tears of joy and mighty singing were offered in thanksgiving to God for HIS mighty hand in the process.

Perhaps when New Years returns to welcome 2027 (Lord Willing) we should be a lot less cavalier about making and declaring the useless and /or the vital promises with absolutely no true intent to accomplish it.

Vows and Resolutions are not the same thing. Vow are a promise. A Resolution is a process of discovery, looking for other potential "solutions" to solve or mitigate an original issue. Thats why it is called a RE-Solution.

To take on a RESOLUTION or commit to a VOW before the Lord is serious business. Consider the words of Jesus as He delivered the Sermon on the Mount: "Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD.' "But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING. "Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. "But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil. (Mat 5:33-37 NAS95)

CLOSING PRAYER

O' Merciful God of all Creation, we are so quick to forget the magnitude of Your being. Our brains are not capable of grasping the length nor depth of Your power and presence. We are, however, well taught about Your mercies, love, and righteousness granted through Grace to each of us. Let us be cautious and deliberate, thoughtful and reverent in all potential vows or resolutions before Your throne. Let our YES be yes, and our NO be no, in reverential fear before You, in Jesus, AMEN

THE CALL

If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go. I am a long-time Sinner and I CONFESS and REPENT of all my sins. I believe that You JESUS are the Lord, that you were hung on a cross and died. I believe that you were raised back to life by God, Your Father, ascended into heaven and presently sit at the right hand of The Almighty. Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN

If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Waste no time in finding like minded folks, to fellowship with, who also know the lord Jesus. Be introduced to a church that preaches the BIBLE. Email me.
