Sunday Message

"THE BEGINNING OF REDEMPTION"

Gen 3:22-24

Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"— (Gen 3:22 NKJV)

OPENING PRAYER

Father God, Awesome Creator, thank You for gathering us together in fellowship to worship and to receive Your message to all of us about Redemption. Open our ears, minds and hearts to that which we will learn from You this Holy day, in Christ Jesus, AMEN.

MESSAGE

There are times when going back to the beginning brings clarity to a cluttered history of distractions and we lose focus and direction. Time goes by and correction no longer seems to take us where we need to be. Not where we want to be.

Mankind's first sin resulted in the FIRST MAN and the FIRST WOMAN being escorted out of the Garden of Eden, for cause, and then prevented from re-entering by armed security! The punishment for human-kind's first sin might have resulted in immediate death. The forever-WISE Creator knew who it was that stirred-up Paradise, and HE promptly confronted him;

So the LORD God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. (Gen 3:14 NKJV) And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." (Gen 3:14-15 NKJV)

So far REDEMPTION has not appeared. Lets look a bit further;

To the woman [God] said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you."

Then to Adam He said; "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return." (Gen 3: 316--17,19 NKJV)

My sense is that we still may be quite a distance from any form of REDEMPTION that we have seen elsewhere in our Bible.

Just as Adam and his bride Eve were being ejected though the East gate of the garden, another short verse in the same scriptural neighborhood came to mind. A verse frequently overlooked; Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"— (Gen 3:22 NKJV)

Question: Who is the "US" to which God refers?

Answer: God is surrounded by the "Heavenly Host" made up of the Angels, that come in a wide vareity of forms and creatures. At the time of the earth's creation, even Satan was on speaking terms with the Lord.

Recently, I was reading a morning devotion written many years ago by Pastor Billy Graham. The topic was THE FIRST REDEMPTION.

Clearly, Adam and Eve stepped way over the line and committed a MORTAL SIN. Adam received the prohibition and command to not eat of the fruit of a certain tree. They did! The penalty of the transgression was DEATH.

Somewhere in this biblical record is the moment that our God, our Creator took pity on the couple and opened a path to be REDEEMED and saved! When was that moment? Lets see if we can find it!

Perhaps it could have been:

>: at the moment of chastisement?

>: as they were banned from the garden?

>: when they knew of nakedness?

>: that they were never redeemed?

>: when Jesus was resurrected from the dead?

Lets read on and see what we discover...

SUMMARY

Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"

So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."

And [God] said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?"

Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate." And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." (Gen 3:9-13 NKJV)

So when and where did God's REDEMPTION first appear?

When God dressed them in animal skins to cover their nakedness!

Sin cannot be atoned for without the shedding of blood. Without blood, redemption is impossible. The Bible is silent on which animal was chosen for this sacrifice but is clear that God caused the animal skins to be used as coverings for man and woman kind.

The LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. (Gen 3:21 NKJV)

Almighty God forgave Adam and Eve and He continues to forgive each one of us yet today. How very blessed we are! Aren't you glad that you are REDEEMED? Don't you wish the same for all of mankind?

CLOSING PRAYER

Lord Jesus, Father God, Holy Spirit it is with Awe, Wonder, and Reverence we kneel before You. You Lord are always welcomed and worshiped anywhere, anytime. Thank-You for creating and loving us. Thank-You for guiding us through our childish behavior, our ignorance, and selfishness. We owe every beat of our heart, every breath that we take to You. Let us depart the congregation this day anew, let every moment of every day be not for our well being, but, in committing to OBEY and TRUST and LOVE You, our Father, our God, Our Saviour, AMEN

DOXOLOGY

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;

Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, Ye heav'n-ly host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

Christ Eternal Senior Ministries

WHO ARE WE?

We are a non-denominational Domestic Missions Bible Church Ministry.  Our calling is to bring the Church and Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who can longer travel to the local physical Church. Linda and I are retired Army veterans that God has called back to Active Duty, this time serving with pride in the Army of the Lord. The Lord blessing us to serve our elders, those who have given of themselves and are now in the fall and winter of their years. These heroes from every clime, every shape, color, or size reside in Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Homes, Memory Care Units and remain hungry for the fellowship and Truth in the WORD of God enshrined in the Holy Bible. We began this journey on Mothers Day 2015 with one facility, The Beacon in Gulf Breeze. From there it grew to six facilities, and recently, now entering our 10th year, we have purposely returned to our original facility at The Beacon in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

The Holy Spirit constantly guides, directs, and counsels us in the conduct of this DOMESTIC MISSION teaching us to "keep it simple, keep it true". Circuit Riding Preachers of yesteryear learned the value of simplicity. If it did not fit into the saddle bags of the horse, it did not come along. That tried and tested philosophy has made all the difference in the success the Lord has called and blessed us with for the last ten years. Here is a photo of the "Physical Ministry":

As you can see, if it won't fit into this platform, it does not come along. No frills. Just the Bible and the honest TRUTH of the WORD of GOD and GLORY of the living GOSPEL of Jesus Christ.

 We charge no fees, nor do we solicit.  Any unsolicited funds are quickly turned around and donated back into the community, penny for penny. Our Lord supplies everything we need and continues to do so through and by His mighty Grace, Amen. 

Linda was raised Roman Catholic, and I as a Colorado Baptist.  Following four years of on-line Bible College. Co-Attending two years at Seminary using the OPEN CAMPUS privilege, along with other Southern Baptist educational opportunities, we were accepted on application, licensed and ordained by Chaplain Fellowship Ministries, International, and later advanced by hands-on commissioning to preach through a local established church. The Beacon was our start and we have now returned full time to continue the Lord's Work with this precious congregation. .

We preach the Gospel of Jesus the Christ in the context of the ENTIRE Holy Bible believing that the OLD TESTAMENT is the NEW TESTAMENT--CONCEALED-- while the NEW TESTAMENT is the OLD TESTAMENT--REVEALED!!    

We long to serve the spiritual needs of the Seniors of our day; sharing the gift of the WORD of GOD, THE GOSPEL of His Son, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit.   Our Seniors supported us when we young, now we commit to supporting them in the Winter of their years.  Thank-You Holy Father, Thank-You Lord Jesus, Thank-You Holy Spirit for anointing this precious Mission, Amen.

"LIVING IN GOD'S MAGNIFICENT HOUSE"

1Chr 22:5

David said,..."The house that is to be built for the LORD shall be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all lands." (cf: 1Chr 22:5 NAS95)

OPENING PRAYER

It is with humble hearts that we gather on this Holy Day in fellowship to Worship You Almighty God. We are sincerely thankful for Your healing and interventions that have returned members of our community to healthy outcomes due to injuries and illness. We especially thank You, Lord Jesus for the awesome sacrifice of Yourself to rescue us from eternal damnation. In Your name we pray, AMEN.

MESSAGE

Just as David commanded in our Anchor Verse; ..."The house that is to be built for the LORD shall be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all lands." (cf: 1Chr 22:5 NAS95) Built by Solomon on the plans of his father David; people from every corner of the world flocked to Jerusalem to see this tribute for our Creator.

 

God's House! Imagine being granted the opportunity to live FOREVER in HIS HOUSE, in the New Jerusalem. The thought and mental image that forms in my mind is accompanied by a "Charlie Horse of my brain." It is too magnificent! Too Regal, beyond the reach of the power of our limited fleshly brains!

[King David] called for his son Solomon, and charged him to build a house for the LORD God of Israel. And David said to Solomon: "My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the LORD my God; but the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 'You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight.

Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.' (1Ch 22:6-10 NKJV)

God selected Solomon well before he was ever born. Probably well before David entered into great sin with Solomon's mother, Bathsheba. Its the heart that guides our Lord.

You as well, are alive forever as living stones, and are being built up in a spiritual house, [a house in the heavens not made with human hands; a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices..acceptable to God..through Jesus Christ. (1Pe 2:5 NKJV) That is you!

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, [that] temple you are. (1Co 3:16-17 NKJV)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. (1Co 6:19-20 NKJV)

The Temple or should I say, the HOUSE of GOD, in which we will certainly reside FOREVER with our maker, is under construction right now! The NEW JERUSALEM; 1500 miles long, 1500 miles wide, 1500 miles high...WOW, takes your breath away, huh?? (Rev 21:16)

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? [NONE!!] For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM. I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE." Therefore "COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE SEPARATE, SAYS THE LORD. DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN, AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU." "I WILL BE A FATHER TO YOU, AND YOU SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, SAYS THE LORD ALMIGHTY." (2Co 6:16-18 NKJV)

SUMMARY

IN EPHESIANS WE READ; Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Eph 2:19-22 NKJV)

Over in COLOSSIANS Paul Writes; And [Jesus] is before all things, and in Him all things consist. (Col 1:17 NKJV) And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Col 1:18 NKJV)

'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God. (Rev 3:14 NKJV)

"The LORD [The Word, The Captain of the Army of the Lord, The AMEN]  HE possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old. I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth; While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, Or the primal dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there;

When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, When He established the clouds above, When He strengthened the fountains of the deep, When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth, Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him. You who have given yourselves completely to Jesus already have your celestial address. Your Kingdom Passport has already been issued. When the Lord so wills, in the blink of an eye, the journey home will be complete. You will forever live in the House of God! HEAR THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

Yea, before the day was I am he. The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.--The author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:2 NKJV)

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Rev 1:8 NKJV)

CLOSING PRAYER

O' LORD, Trying to imagine what the Kingdom of God will be like is impossible,-- O' Mighty Creator. Therefore grant us strong faith, and instill clear vision for our limited fleshly minds. Expand the horizon of our understanding as we nourish ourselves with Your WORD. Take our hand, Lord Jesus, and guide us to the Kingdom Come, and the promised eternity of Your presence, PRAISE YOU LORD JESUS! AMEN

OPENING PRAYER

Almighty Father, author of all that there is or ever will be - Thank-You for gathering us to congregation on this Holy Day to worship in fellowship and grow in our walk before the Lord of Lords. Teach us today. We each desire to to be remembered before You for GOOD, with pure hearts and Your wondrous Grace in Faith through Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

MESSAGE

"Remember me, my God, FOR GOOD!. The man praying was named Nehemiah, a humble fellow who served the King in Persia as his "Cup Bearer". A most trusted staffer, but quite expendable if someone were attempting to poison the King. Think of his role as the sparrow in the mineshaft. If the bird dies, everybody evacuates!

The 70 years of Babylonian captivity of the Israelites was coming to an end. King Artaxerxes sensed Nehemiah's deep desire to be permitted to take leave of his "Cup Bearer" duties, to help his people in rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem. By the grace of God, permission was granted and the Lord further instructed Nehemiah in his new duties.

The Lord promised Israel that after this 70 year period of correction and chastisement He would rescue them just as He rescued those out of Egypt; "For thus says the LORD, 'When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jer 29:10-11 NAS95)

Nehemiah joined other God fearing servants such as Ezra, in super charging the depressed desire of the Jerusalem remnants, stirring up old and forgotten memories of the greatness that God had long placed in the Jew, His chosen people. They would eventually rise to the occasion but it would take patience, wisdom, faith, and fortitude. The Lord did not disappoint.

The Jews had no one to blame but themselves for the 70-year Babylonian exile.

All of the various players that King Darius released from captivity to support the rebuilding of the temple played key roles in motivating every Jew to do their best and be guided by their Creator in the accomplishment of this awesome task;

"Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the LORD, "I remember concerning you the devotion of your youth, The love of your betrothals, Your following after Me in the wilderness, Through a land not sown. (Jer 2:2 NAS95)

"Nevertheless, [said the Lord], I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. (Eze 16:60 NAS95) HAVE FAITH IN ME!

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa 55:9 NAS95)

Job, in Chapter Five He reasons that prayer will usher in healing..."But as for me, I would seek God, And I would place my cause before God; Who does great and unsearchable things, Wonders without number. (Job 5:8-9 NAS95)

King David writes; Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count. (Psa 40:5 NAS95)

SUMMARY

The author of The Book of Hebrews provides us with a masterful summary of the Lord's message today;

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Nehemiah was filled, by God, with certain priestly duties before those who were in need of belief and faith, he gave of himself to the Lord and it was God's mighty examples and teachings through Nehemiah that resulted in the purification of the rebuilt Temple.

Facing nearly 12-years of constant bickering, in-fighting, and accusations from those who had no faith, nor desire to do what was necessary to rebuild, Nehemiah prayed to Almighty God; Remember me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. (Neh 5:19 NKJV) Circa: 446 BC

As we close on this Holy Day, I recall the Lord's example to the world as He suffered on that old Cross; And a sinner, also hanging said, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" And [Jesus] said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." (Luk 23:42-43 NAS95)

I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.--JOSH. 1:5.-KJV

CLOSING PRAYER

The Bible tells me that You Lord never promised that we would go through our temporary lives on Earth and not be troubled, wounded, persecuted, or found in life's tribulations. You have always said quite the opposite, we will certainly suffer these challenges. Your promise was and is that whatever situation we find ourselves in, and when we call Your name, You will be there to guide us through. Thank You, Almighty God for Your precious Son Jesus and His great sacrifice for the whole of Your Creation, Amen and AMEN!
