DECLARATION
For
[we are not] ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of
God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed
from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
{ Rom 1:16-17 KJV}

Sunday Message
"LORD, ESTABLISH OUR WORK"
Psa 90:17
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psa 90:17 NKJV)
OPENING PRAYER
Mighty and powerful LORD JESUS, we are blessed that You are present with us on this Holy Day. By Your Grace You have gathered this tiny congregation to fellowship and worship. To hear and embrace Your message and apply the same to our earthly lives. This is how we grow, this is how we know on this journey to Trust and Obey, in Your Name we pray, AMEN
MESSAGE
While Paul was traveling to Damascus, on a continuation of his "SELF IMPOSED MISSION" to rid the world of those who follow Jesus; Our Lord introduced himself to the man actively threatening God's Church. Jesus said to Saul ..."Why are you persecuting me?" "It is hard to kick against the goads". (Act 26:14 Nasb) Jesus began teaching Saul a meaningful lesson about his future and his personal discomfort that would rapidly increase if he continues to reject the direction [the goading] of the Lord. Jesus had a NEW OFFER that Saul, --soon to be called Paul,-- could not refuse!
Human History is littered with residue and trash, because so many of our human adventures, activities, and BRILLIANT discoveries either fail to produce what was expected or many times they cross a line into an area my dad often called, THE ILLEGAL, THE IMMORAL, THE FATTENING!
Having said that, the following proverb should fit right in:
Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.
(Pro 16:3 NAS95)
In your morning prayer, that moment when you are just realizing that it is time to wake up. That special moment... when you say, "Good Morning Lord, thank You for the restful night, and I look forward to following in Your footsteps in all that I lay my hands on this day, because All the Glory is Yours, Mighty Savior, AMEN
God loves to hear your voice at all times of the day. He is especially pleased when your first words of praise and commitment are uttered BEFORE your feet meets the floor!! There are times when the Lord will wake me at 3 a.m., have me get up, open my bible and quietly listen. He can quickly turn a monologue into a dialog if You are willing to be patient. If you are willing to be QUIET and sincere and responsive to His Word. His Scripture. As you read, if you are patient, your eyes will see written answers--right there---in your bible!! THAT, My Beloved is called a HOLY DIALOG!
God's relationship with the city Jerusalem and how she betrayed the Creator over and over, kicking, as it were, against the goads that God was using to guide and direct Jerusalem's activities. As Holy Scripture reveals, The Lord's Bride, Jerusalem, headed down the wrong path; She was going to do her own thing, the rules were tossed out through the window;
[Almighty God speaks]; "Then your fame went forth among the nations on account of your beauty, for it was perfect because of My splendor which I bestowed on you," declares the Lord GOD. "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be willing. (Eze 16:14-15 NAS95) Oh Dear JERUSALEM, had you never heard the proverb; Commit your works to the LORD [JERUSALEM] And your plans will be established. (Pro 16:3 NAS95)
The Apostle Peter spoke from his own direct experience regarding guidance and the Lord's testing: "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. " (1Pe 4:12-14 NAS95)
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
(Php 2:12-13 NAS95) You might be asking yourself, SELF? How in the world do I, a mere human, "work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. I thought that was YOUR JOB, LORD??
It is! Everything we do, everything we say, think, hide, consider, all of it is in the full view of God himself. He has called you to be His own. To be a son or a daughter. To be the hand, the ears, the eyes, the voice, the legs and feet of the ALMIGHTY by doing as He wills in ALL YOUR ACTIVITIES on this earth! HOW? By doing what you do and do it well..and give the Lord the credit for it all. It all belongs to Him! We are the caretakers, the stewards. We are His children! Let others see JESUS in you!Giving Him the credit should be an automatic habit! Thank-You Lord!
SUMMARY
We all have had a habit or six during our lives. Some were GOOD HABITS, like politeness, honesty, reliable, brushing your teeth, being neatly dressed, being on-time. Then we certainly had some, perhaps more than a few BAD HABITS. With this in mind let us go back to the beginning theme of this message-- focused on greeting the Lord before you roll out of bed in the mornings.
We can form a GOOD HABIT, one that has a repeating manner of always giving credit to the Creator for all the things we will lay our hands to do, bringing JOY to our Father. Make this is a sacrificial HABIT, meaning we give up our few moments of slumber to greet the one who created us! Once we start, it will likely become an HABITUAL HABIT, one that would be very difficult to stop or simply disregard. Yet even better, pray that it becomes the best part of waking up. [ and I'm not talking about Folgers in your cup!]
Make it a part of your daily HABIT to recognize the Lord and praise Him as your eyes open from slumber. Ask Him to guide your day, and then do and do well what you have now agreed to do! Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established. (Pro 16:3 NAS95) I can see it in my mind right now. I'm asleep, and I sense that morning has arrived. I yawn big, and I whisper, GOOD MORNING FATHER, GOOD MORNING JESUS, GOOD MORNING HOLY SPIRIT; {I'm wiggling my toes now...and starting to peek through the small opening of my eyelids}
Then pray; thank You for the restful night, I look forward to following in Your footsteps in all that I lay my hands on this day, because All the Glory is Yours, Mighty Savior, AMEN Oh yes, one more thing, THE LORD REBUKE YOU SATAN, THE LORD REBUKE YOU!, Amen It is now safe to put your feet on the floor!
Will you commit to join me in this morning habit each and everyday for the balance of your years? Will You?
Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.
(Pro 16:3 NAS95)
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word. (2Th 2:16-17 NAS95)
CLOSING PRAYER
Last night I laid me down to sleep. I prayed the Lord my Soul to keep. I thought, if I should die before I wake, I pray the Father, Oh Jesus my soul to take. And as the morning returns to the dawn, hear our greeting of HABIT strong. Let us all do and do it well, that to which we lay our hands this day, all in Your Glory, all in Your will, Lord Jesus, AMEN.
DOXOLOGY
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;

THE CALL
If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go. I am a long-time Sinner and I CONFESS and REPENT of all my sins. I believe that You JESUS are the Lord, that you were hung on a cross and died. I believe that you were raised back to life by God, Your Father, ascended into heaven and presently sit at the right hand of The Almighty. Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN
If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
