For [we are not] ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. { Rom 1:16-17 KJV}

Leviticus 21:1-24:3, Ezekiel 44:15-31, James 1:1-18

Then Adonai said to Moses, “Speak to the kohanim, the sons of Aaron, and say to them: A kohen is not to allow himself to become unclean for the dead among his people, (2) except for his relatives that are nearest to him—his mother, his father, his son, his daughter, his brother, (3) or his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband. For her he may allow himself to become unclean. {Lev 21:1-3 TLV}

SUNDAY MESSAGE

"THE TIME IS SHORT"

1 Cor 7:29

OPENING PRAYER

Sovereign Creator, Master of all that there is, thank-You for gathering us in congregation...to worship and to grow in Your Word on this holy day. Where two or more are gathered in Your name, scripture tells us that You are in our midst. Lord, You are always welcomed and we are humbled to be Your people. Grant us open ears, hearts and souls as we receive Your message in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN

MESSAGE

Just as it is written in {I COR. 7:29}, "Brothers and Sisters, the time is short."

"Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. (2) He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue." {Job 14:1-2} This verse, "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble." is sometimes misunderstood. Depending on the audience, JOB 14 can be a conversation STARTER, or, it has been known to trigger a CONVERSATION ENDER!.

A male speaking to a female audience might well opine that back in Adam's time period, it was the woman who was first to eat the forbidden fruit! Therefore, SIN was ushered in through the woman. SHAME ON HER! Here we see a MALE starting the conversation, and we also see the FEMALE audience bringing the discussion to a screeching halt!

Lets set the record straight. It was Adam who received the commandment directly from God. It was also Adam who communicated God's order to Eve but Adam did not deliver the message exactly as God gave it to him. He added the "Don't even touch the fruit" that God did not say. Eve was deceived by the serpent, and by eating of the fruit she sinned. Adam had the greater sin in that he was present during the serpent's dialog with Eve, but did not lift a finger to stop her, in fact when Eve offered the same fruit to Adam, He gobbled it right up! They both sinned, but the greater rested on Adam, who was not deceived, and we all inherited the same nasty sin-laden-bug and the sentence of eternal agonizing death.

Here we are today in the year AD 2026 and nearly 5,526 years ago SIN INFECTED US and the world [today] is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. {1Jn 2:17} The will of God is to hold on to what you have, and continue to share the Gospel message.

Originally Adam and his bride were pure and innocent; living in a pure and innocent garden. It was perfect. That is until they disobeyed the FIRST COMMAND of the Lord God. At the very moment that the fruit was taken into the body, the seed of sin infected all those who were born from that moment onward. Everyone coming into the world infected; we are sinners from birth!

{-cf:1Co 15:20-24}-- But now Christ has been born, a sin free birth, fully man, fully God. His own was instrumental in His crucifixion, death and burial. On the third day He was raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have long been asleep. (21) For since by a man came death, by another man also came the resurrection of the dead. (22) For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (23) But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, (24) then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.

I always wondered how those who were born way before Jesus could find salvation through His death. Even though He had not yet been born of the flesh. Now we know.

Whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.--To live is Christ, and to die is gain. {Rom 14:8}

SUMMARY

(Heb 10:35-37) Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. (36) For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. (37) FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

(1Pe 4:7-8) The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. (8) Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

I now close this message with the very words of Jesus found in the 1st chapter of the Revelation of Jesus Christ; Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." COME QUICKLY, O' LORD!

CLOSING PRAYER

You O' Lord are the Creator, we are the Created! You O' Lord are God, we are Your people! You O' Lord are our Father and we are Your children. ABBA, oh beloved ABBA, hallowed be thy name, we bow before You Almighty God, Jesus the Christ, Amen and AMEN!

THE CALL

If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go. I am a long-time Sinner and I CONFESS and REPENT of all my sins. I believe that You JESUS are the Lord, that you were hung on a cross and died. I believe that you were raised back to life by God, Your Father, ascended into heaven and presently sit at the right hand of The Almighty. Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN

If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
