MESSAGE
THANK-YOU! Two small words capable of rendering a HUGE and positive accolade to others! Two small words that render RESPECT and APPRECIATION. Two tiny words that are almost universally positive!
We learn from our parents at an early age to say PLEASE and THANK-YOU toward others. acknowledging service, favor, or actions rendered.
I would say that everyone in this room are very quick to say thank-you to those in this community. Even when shopping or dining out, that polite rendering of gratitude is a part of our upbringing, our teaching. We know the weight that the words THANK-YOU brings to bear on others.
Over the course of a day or a week, how many THANK-YOUs do you personally give to HE who created you? Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit? When waking up in the morning, Do you have Thank-YOU on your lips?
One of the earliest direct expressions of THANK-YOU came from King David; So David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly; and David said, "Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Now therefore, OUR GOD, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name." (1Ch 29:10,13 KJV)
Jesus was comforting Martha while at the tomb of Lazarus, He was encouraging her in her beliefs. Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. (Joh 11:40-41 NAS95)
Even The Lord, by His own example, teaches all of us the need to express thanksgiving to our Creator no matter what our station in life might be, and to do so as often as we are led by the spirit.
The Apostle Paul always expressed his devotion to HE who saved the man named SAUL from eternal death, Paul replied "First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world." (Rom 1:8 NAS95) While traveling on the road to Damascus, Jesus convened a meeting with Paul resulting in a full salvation in a bit over three days, by the Grace of Our Lord!! I have no doubt that Paul delivered many, many prayers of thanksgiving for the favor that Jesus extended to him.
SUMMARY
Giving thanks to the Lord should be a lifelong habit of joy. Saying "Thank-You" Lord should never be burdensome nor complicated, or long-winded. Short, Sweet, and Sincere. For me personally, I cannot recall a time in the last decade where I was not already prepared being "spring-loaded" into the the Thanksgiving Position. It truly is habit forming!
The Lord used to wake me up at or about 3 a.m. (for some reason unknown to me, it seemed like 3 a.m. was HIS favorite time.) In those callings, I was wide awake, got up from bed, went into the next room and opened the Bible. There was no dialog, except, "Here am I, Lord", As I read Holy Scripture, I would pray that HE would guide me, through the Holy Spirit to the chapter and verses He wanted me to absorb. Time and time again, He did!
Once in a great while, I would come across words that seemed to jump right off the page! I had nothing to connect it to at that time, but later in the morning, or even in a day or two, a phone call, a conversation, a commercial, or my bride would say or do something that was a direct connection to the Scripture HE was guiding me to.
The three a.m. meetings are not as frequent as they were 7 or 8 years ago, but my morning habits have only gotten stronger! These days, my alarm goes off at 5 a.m., and my first words are "Thank-You Lord for the blessed rest and slumber." And I truly look forward to getting up, stepping outside to the patio in the back of the house, and gazing at the Canopy of Heaven, to the awesome beauty and vastness of YOUR Creation. I pray again to be equipped with all that is needed to accomplish His will this day. Always overwhelmed by the beauty and majesty of God's universe. I pray that it NEVER gets old or routine! Staring at the darkened sky, I am so thankful that GOD has opened my eyes to actually see ETERNITY...in between the individual stars! Praise You Jesus!, Praise YOU Father God, AMEN
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His loving kindness is everlasting. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; They did not find a way to an inhabited city. They were hungry and thirsty; Their soul fainted within them. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses. He led them also by a straight way, To go to an inhabited city. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His loving kindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men! For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good. (Psa 107:1-9 NAS95)
How do you express thanksgiving to your CREATOR each day? Is it planned, or perhaps spontaneous? Do you thank HIM as soon as your feet hit the floor, or even before? DO you wait until after breakfast? Do you thank HIM often as you should? Has it been a long time since you did? If so, its is time TODAY to turn that around. HE Created you. HE is still with you NOW! On the count of THREE, say out loud, "THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR THE SALVATION THAT FILLS MY HEART, I LOVE YOU NOW AND FOREVER, AMEN!
CLOSING PRAYER
You Lord are the Creator. We are Your created. You are GOD. We are Your people. You are our Father. We are Your children. We love You and thank You for our every beat of our hearts and every breath of life, and for our salvation unto eternal life through Jesus the Christ. In HIS name we pray, AMEN

If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go. I am a long-time Sinner and I CONFESS and REPENT of all my sins. I believe that You JESUS are the Lord, that you were hung on a cross and died. I believe that you were raised back to life by God, Your Father, ascended into heaven and presently sit at the right hand of The Almighty. Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN
If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
