Welcome to this week's Parasha "Chayei Sarah" (Life of Sarah)
Genesis 23:1-25:18; 1 Kings 1:1-31; 1 Peter 3:1-7
Now Sarah’s life was 127 years—the years of Sarah’s life. Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah and to weep over her. (Gen 23:1-2 TLV) NOTE: Sarah was the only woman in the Bible having a Parasha named after her.
SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)
GREETINGS:
Welcome Dearly Beloved. The LORD and His Angels visited Abraham and shared with him the intent to destroy SODOM and GOMORRAH. Abraham then responded to the Lord, asking "what if" questions regarding potential innocents being caught up in the Lord's Wrath.
OPENING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your presence among us as we worship and grow in Your Holy Word. Where ever this message travels, no matter the nation or the tongue, the TRUTH of the HOLY WORD will reveal itself through Scripture. Grant us open hearts, minds, and souls as we partake of the rich celestial nourishment of the "WORD", In the name above all names, JESUS the CHRIST, we pray AMEN.
Let us now consult the "WORD" and discover GOD'S TRUTHS in HOLY SCRIPTURE:
"THE COUNSELLOR"
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
(Isa 9:6 NKJV)
Names and titles of Jesus; some theologians claim over 198 names and titles belonging to the Chirst in our Bibles. Messiah, Emanuel, Logos, {from the word LOGIC, meaning the Logical One} Son of man, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, THE ALMIGHTY.
From the beginning, He has always been...and there has never been a time when He was not! The prophesy of His presence is well recorded within our Bible. We knew HIM before we knew HIM! He likewise knew each and everyone of us, as we are creations of HIS mighty hands.
The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; (Isa 11:2-3 NKJV) NOT UNLIKE A COUNSELLOR?
Does not wisdom cry out, And understanding lift up her voice?
(Pro 8:1 NKJV)
"To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men. O you simple ones, understand prudence, And you fools, be of an understanding heart. Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips will come right things; (Pro 8:4-6 NKJV), Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. (Pro 8:14 NKJV)
This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. (Isa 28:29 NKJV) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (Jas 1:5 NKJV)
As we close this message, I pray that you will find great comfort in the WORD, that which is encompassed within Holy Scripture. For all occasions, all guidance, all answers can be found and confirmed in prayer, through the Bible.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Pro 3:5-6 NKJV)
CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global gathering. Precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then striving and sharing, with others, the wisdom of the "WORD", of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, feeding hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. Your blessings and power endures for ever and ever, and we are forever grateful, Thank You O' Lord Jesus, we are Yours, AMEN
DOXOLOGY
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, Ye heav'n-ly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen
BENEDICTION: (Num 6:24-26) The LORD bless you, and keep you; (25) The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; (26) The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.'AMEN
