"ADAM'S KIDS; REAL OLD AGE; TROUBLE"
Genesis Chapters Five & Six
OPENING PRAYER
O' Lord, our GOD, with humble thanksgiving we gather before You on this Holy Day with open ears, hearts, and souls to receive Your message. A message of birth, of death, Sin and accountability, and of forgiveness. Teach us, reach us, show us, grow us as we follow along in Your foot steps in Jesus, AMEN.
MESSAGE
Holy perfection. That is what the Garden of Eden was. Our beginning, created by God, was perfect. Through the majesty of His power, the Lord created man out of the dirt. Then HE breathed life into him, and Adam stood up in the presence of He who made him! The creation was perfect.
God named this perfect man He had just created, ADAM. [The name means: earthy, red, human] Created out of the ground, this first man would remain flawless until such time when a grave error would change him and all that follow into sinners under a sentence of eternal death!
The Lord did not stop there; God removed a rib & tissue from Adam, and with that created a woman, a Bride forever for Adam.
Long story short, the pair messed up after the Serpent (Satan) used a powerful technique know as "CREATING DOUBT". Suggesting this "doubt" to husband and wife, they ate of the forbidden fruit and their perfect life was perfect no more! [Genesis 3 & 4]
When the Lord uttered the words: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." (Gen 1:28 NAS95) Mating season began and ran all year long!
Initially, while in the garden, mating was naturally built into their very being, an INSTINCT just like rabbits, sheep and cats and all creatures. To mate was a natural and a very powerful instinct, not a lust of the body. Boy creatures and girl creatures doing what God designed, REPRODUCING ! (Sexual Lust had not been invented...yet!) Each of us here are living witnesses of what GOD ordained since we are the product of this divine instinct.
My wonderful grandmother, Elsie May Thompson was the family "Biblio-tischen." Grandpa Earl, a life long farmer of the soil had his individual system of Bible interpretation. For instance; When he wanted some alone time with Elsie May, and we rug-rats were present, he would exclaim "The Lord says Be Fruitful and multiply" then he would wink at Elsie. She would blush and they would disappear. We kids never knew where they went, but when they returned, Gramps would be whistling, and Grandma humming a song as she peeled potatoes for dinner.
I brought a surprise for you! A listing of Adam's descendants, all the way to Noah! As I deliver this scripture today, keep in mind every member on this list, from the young to the old or VERY OLD were very active in the mating instinct. Some of us were birthed out of LUST!
Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for, she said, "God has appointed me another offspring in place of Abel, for Cain killed him." To Seth, to him also a son was born; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD. (Gen 4:25-26 NAS95)
Theologian JOHN GILL WRITES:...They (Adam's kin) had been...seeing the followers of Cain incorporating themselves, and joining families together, and building cities, and carrying on their civil and religious affairs among themselves, they also formed themselves into distinct bodies; and not only separated from them, but called themselves by a different name; for so the words may be rendered: "then began men to call themselves", or "to be called by the name of the Lord"; the SONS OF GOD, as distinct from the SONS OF MEN.
According to the scriptural history ---And to Seth, to him also there was born a son,.... When he was a hundred and five years old, and this is mentioned as a further proof and instance of God's goodness to Adam's family --in this line, that there was a succession in it, where the true worship of God was kept, and from whence the Messiah was to arise, and as a pledge and confirmation of it: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord PUBLICLY
Many daughters and sons were born of Adam and he lived nine hundred and thirty years, and took his last breath. (Gen 5:5 NAS95)
Seth, the father of Enosh died at the age of nine hundred and twelve years. Now, I was kidding about reading the whole list of children born to Adam, but permit me to selectively pull some samples for your edification:
Then Mahalalel lived eight hundred and ninety five years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters, then he died. (Gen 5:16 NAS95) Son Jared died having celebrated his nine hundred and sixty second birthday.
Two more and then I'll move along; Enoch lived a mere Three Hundred and Sixty Five years but he DID NOT DIE! God took him to heaven alive! [365 years and each year he lived was 365 days....Curious]. One of Enoch's sons Methuselah lived longer than any other human being, ever! When he drew his last breath, he was 969 years old.
Before Methuselah left his fleshly suit behind, he produce yet another son, Lamech, who was the father to one he called Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed." (Gen 5:29 NAS95)
Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, (Gen 6:1 NAS95)
that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. (Gen 6:2 NAS95)
A great controversy arose over the inter-marrying between the God Fearing and believing members of the linage of SETH, and those of the non believing and IDOL worshiping line of CAIN. This split remains quite plentiful even today with hundreds to thousands of so claimed religious organizations; many Pagan in origin.
Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." (Gen 6:3 NAS95) Days of living hundreds of years was now over!
SUMMARY
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. (Gen 6:6)
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
The LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them." But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. (Gen 6:6-8 NAS95) Rabbi Noah was 500 years young when God enlisted him to build an ARK! He departed earth at the age of 950 years.
Just as the Garden of Eden was perfect our forever home in the Kingdom of New Jerusalem will shine with eternal joy, no more pain or suffering, no more tears, no more Satan. Our journey yet ahead of us is cluttered with tribulation, local, global, and in the Heavenly places. The roadway will be narrow and filled with pot-holes and stumbling blocks; Your Faith will guide you through...all the way...to the end of days. The Holy Spirit dwells with your spirit and together these two and YOU become one in the Holy Spirit of the Father!
CLOSING PRAYER
Father God, Lord Jesus, You have taught us that many will fall short of seeing Your Glory, a result of our own decisions. We are so thankful for the embrace and love shown us by our Creator, and look forward to eternity in Your Light and presence. May it be Your will to show us, grow us, teach us and reach us FOREVER in a land where sin and death will no longer exist, through JESUS, we pray AMEN.

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;

THE CALL
