Welcome to this week's Parasha "Sukkot" (Tabernacles)
Tonight begins the Festival of Sukkot (Tabernacles)
Here
in Israel and around the world, the Jewish People are spending time
in the sukkot (plural of sukkah) that they built when Yom Kippur
ended just days ago.
This holiday is a
pilgrimage festival linked to the fall harvest, so it is also known
as Chag HaAsif
(Festival of
Ingathering).
In Biblical times, every Israelite went up
to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot at the Temple.
Sukkot is a commemoration of the 40 years that Israel wandered in the wilderness and lived in temporary dwellings following the exodus from Egypt.
Familes
and communities "Live
in booths [sukkot] for seven days:
All native-born Israelites are to live in booths so your
descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I
brought them out of Egypt.'" (Leviticus
23:42–43)
This holiday is a very joyous one, so much so that it is also called Z'man Simchateinu, the Season of Rejoicing!
"On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days." (Leviticus 23:40, see also Nehemiah 8:15)
Sukkot, which follows right after Rosh HaShanah (Day of Judgment) and Yom Kippur (the day the judgment is sealed), represents renewed fellowship with God.

THE MARKS OF THE TRUE CHRISTIAN
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)
GREETINGS:
Welcome Dearly Beloved. By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we gather this day, here and around the globe with hundreds of believers, each with the same mission; to WORSHIP The CREATOR and HIS WORD. It is no coincidence or happen-stance that we all have gathered, WORSHIPING as one body together; CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". PRAISE HIS HALLOWED NAME! Rejoyce in HOPE; JESUS, our SAVIOR!
OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your message in Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts to absorb as we read together "LIGHT" of life reflected from the Cross, a reverential reception of the Lord who guides us on a wondrous eternal journey. Permit this Holy study to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN
Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:
THE "WORD":
REJOICE IN HOPE, DISPLAYING THE MARKS OF THE TRUE CHRISTIAN
The Apostle Paul teaches in Romans chapter 12
Rom 12:9-21 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. (10) Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; (11) not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; (12) rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, (13) contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. (14) Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
(15) Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. (16) Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
(17) Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. (18) If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. (19) Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. (20) "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." (21) Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. Your blessings endure for ever and ever, and we are forever grateful, Thank You O' Lord Jesus, AMEN
DOXOLOGY
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, Ye heav'n-ly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen
