SUNDAY MESSAGE

"IS GOD'S WILL...MY WILL?"

1 Thes 4:3-4

OPENING PRAYER

O' Most Holy Father, in the name of Jesus we assemble in congregation to learn and to grow in our worship of YOU, our MAKER. Open our ears, hearts and souls to receive Your Message on this Holy day, in Jesus, AMEN

MESSAGE

The question posed in our Lord's message today is an issue of wills. Simply stated, "IS GODS WILL MY WILL?" It might seem that the answer would be an easy one. Straight forward. Either YES or NO! The answer received more than others is "Most of the Time"

We are the sheep of the Lord's pasture. We have a history of indecision or non-decision! We have a substantial history of not doing things that we should be doing, and THAT...is an understatement! The primary behavior issue for us is the 'ME-MYSELF-AND-I" attitude. It is NOT conducive to the will of the Lord! PERIOD!

There are those among us who sometimes struggle with making the right decision. Often, this in-decisive posture results in missing out completely. [The train leaves without you...again...] In the process of DECISION MAKING, You would be surprised how often the Holy Spirit will guide you, IF you call on HIM, Following is what the Lord says:

For this is the will of God—your sanctification: to abstain from [SIN], [especially] sexual immorality; to know, each of you, how to gain control over his own body in holiness and honor— not in the passion of lust like the pagans who do not know God.. -cf: (1Th 4:3-5 TLV)

THIS IS the WILL of God; your sanctification,....Which is another reason to enforce that verse we just read. I opened the International Bible Encyclopedia [IBE] and followed along with it for a while. THEN I CLOSED the [IBE]!! I then opened the BIBLE;

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(2Th 2:13-14 NKJV)

To be "Sanctified" means that you have been chosen, hired, received, set aside for a specific purpose or purposes and is an on-going gift of renewal.

Sanctification" has internal and external components. Internally, sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit of God, and is a principle or standard of spiritual life in the soul. It is also known as a divine and spiritual Guiding light in the understanding and accepting, of OUR will to embrace HIS WILL, realizing the impact on divine things, and is an implantation, the planting of precious seeds of Holiness then harvesting the fruit of every grace in our hearts. The Lord cleans up your INSIDES FIRST, and then addresses the OUTSIDE or external.

External sanctification mirrors, to a large degree, the product of what the Lord just did inside you, HELPING you in holiness of life and conversation. The External is that which is seen or heard by others, and is fully known by Jesus! Other folks will watch us like a hawk to see if CHRISTIANS really and truly walk-the-talk, behaving in a manner that brings GLORY to our Lord.

And this becomes his approving will, or what is well pleasing in his sight, being agreeable to his nature, and divine perfections, particularly his holiness, in which he is glorious; and it is his will of command, and what he requires in his law, which is holy, just, and good, and perfectly agrees with the sound doctrine of the Gospel, and the revelation of his will in both.

The HOLY Bible WARNS: That ye should abstain from fornication: which is particularly mentioned, abstinence from it being an expression of external holiness; and because that this sin was common among the Gentiles, and not considered a sin by them; as also to observe to these Christians, that even simple fornication was not to be allowed, much less other acts of uncleanness, as adultery, incest, sodomy, and the like, which were iniquities that greatly prevailed among the Heathens. THE WARNING? Stay clear .

SUMMARY

Lets return now to the question that is the topic of our message today;

"IS GOD'S WILL...MY WILL?"

As we discover, its pretty straight-forward to know what the will of God is, in most cases. We have grown up knowing RIGHT from WRONG. Your presence here in Fellowship is a testament of alignment of HIS will and Your will! Our job is to to be like HIM. HE has been in our lives since birth. It was by HIS hand that we were created!

It is HIS WILL that we have life. It is our will to live life in holiness.

It is HIS WILL that we be loved. It is our will to love HIM; HE Loved us first!

It is HIS WILL to TEACH us. It is our will to practice HIS teachings.

Jesus says: "You are My friends if you do what I command you. "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. "This I command you, that you love one another. (Joh 15:14-17 NAS95)

IS GOD'S WILL...MY WILL? I pray that it is and will always be!

CLOSING PRAYER

Lord Jesus, we pray with a common voice that we each one, here gathered, be gifted the Holy Habit of being aligned completely with YOUR WILL, conforming our will as we witness the majesty and power of YOUR being. This we plead with tender hearts in Jesus AMEN.

THE CALL

If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go. I am a long-time Sinner and I CONFESS and REPENT of all my sins. I believe that You JESUS are the Lord, that you were hung on a cross and died. I believe that you were raised back to life by God, Your Father, ascended into heaven and presently sit at the right hand of The Almighty. Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN

If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Waste no time in finding like minded folks, to fellowship with, who also know the lord Jesus. Be introduced to a church that preaches the BIBLE. Email me.
